Widespread Power Outage Hits Prince Albert & Surrounding Areas – Updated

At 9:36 pm on Sunday, October 29th, 2017 SaskPower announced that all power had been restored and thanked their customer for their patience.


Update 6:02 pm

SaskPower has restored power to Shellbrook, Spiritwood, Leask, Big River, Prince Albert, Weldon, and Candle Lake.

Power outage continues south of Prince Albert including St Louis, Domremy, Crystal  Springs, Wakaw Lake, Birch Hills, Weldon, and Brancepeth with estimated time until repaired being projected at 9:00 pm this evening.

SaskPower crews have been dispatched to deal with a wide spread outage effecting Shellbrook, Spiritwood, Leask, Debden, Big River, Prince Albert, Weldon, Birch Hills, Candle Lake and surrounding rural areas. SaskPower has not stated the cause yet and can not offer an estimated time until it is repaired.

A power outage earlier today left Candle Lake, Whelan Bay, East Trout Lake, Little Bear Lake and surrounding areas without power for about 2 hours while crews repaired a line down. Power was restored about 10 am.
