(Last Updated On: September 18, 2018)

Two Diamond North Credit Union ATM’s were the target of thieves recently.

Sometime in the early morning hours of Thursday September 13th, 2018, an allegedly stolen truck smashed into the wall of the Choiceland Branch of Diamond North Credit Union. The suspects appeared to have made an attempt to steal the ATM, though unsuccessfully.

According to local residents, the truck involved in the incident was a service truck reportedly stolen from the Grow Plan facility in Choiceland.

And then, Diamond North Credit Union in White Fox was hit two nights later, this time the thieves where able to steal the ATM.

The White Fox theft happened sometime before 3 am on Sunday, September 16th and occurred despite a wedding celebration going on just blocks away.

I was doing runs back and forth for a wedding all night and suddenly it was like that at the bank“, stated local cab owner Travis Verzonowski of SFS Taxi, who had been providing taxi services for the wedding party and came across the scene after RCMP had arrived.

Updates will be made when RCMP statement is available
