During the night of Saturday, August 19, 2017, 81-year-old Aime L’Heureux had a thief visit his home and take his three wheeled Schwinn bike from his driveway.

Mr. L’Heureux, who has Parkinson’s, relies on his bike to maintain his mobility. He has difficulty walking, using a cane and can’t even walk his own dog very far. He has offered a reward for the return of his bike, as a token of his appreciation.

The bike is a blue Schwinn Meridian Comfort Trike,  the same as the one shown in the picture and stands out. Because it is distinctive, it is possible that whoever stole the bike may have taken it outside the Melfort area to sell.

We are asking all Nipawin area residents to keep their eyes open and if you feel you may know where the bike is or have any information regarding the theft please contact Melfort RCMP at 306-752-6420 or your local RCMP detachment (310-RCMP if you don’t know the local non-emergency number).
