RCMP Nipawin – CDSA Trafficking -Media Release May 24th, 2019 – On May 20th at 10:40pm, Nipawin and Smeaton RCMP members conducted a traffic stop with a vehicle within the Town of Nipawin. As a result of this stop, a search of the vehicle was conducted where 63 grams of methamphetamine, 23 pills of hydromorphone and 68 pills of buprenorphine were located and seized. Also located during the search was a can of bear spray, drug paraphernalia and other items consistent with drug trafficking.
The following people were arrested and charged as a result of this investigation:
- Chance Corey KELLER of Naicam, SK – Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking x 3 as well as Possessing a Weapon Dangerous to the Public
- Brittany Dawn SIMONSON of Naicam, SK – Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking x 3, Breach of Conditional Sentence Order and Possessing a Weapon Dangerous to the Public
- Zack Donald NOWLIN of Nipawin, SK – Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking x 3 as well as Possessing a Weapon Dangerous to the Public.
All three persons charged in this investigation were held in custody and appeared in Nipawin Provincial Court on May 22nd. All three were further remanded into custody until their next appearance on May 29th in Nipawin.
