The Town of Nipawin has posted flyers around town as well as provided information in their news section of the town web site, inviting food and beverage operators to show their interest in being part of the solution to the ongoing problem of ensuring the Evergreen Centre can provide those services for it’s users. The deadline for submissions is 4:00 pm on Wednesday, December 6th, 2017. According to the documents, submissions will be reviewed on December 6th and 7th and they anticipate selection of preferred submissions on Monday December 11th. Selection of preferred submissions is only the first stage of the selection process, and those selected are not assured any type of contract, only an interest from the town to further investigate their proposals. “The Town of Nipawin is soliciting Expressions of Interest (EOI) from qualified Food and Beverage Operators with the capacity to manage, market, and grow the services offered in the proponents’ proposal. The Town of Nipawin is encouraging “outside of the box thinking” that creates a successful delivery of service model. The process provides the benefit of allowing for new and innovative solutions to be considered.
In past efforts to provide effective and appropriate food services within the Evergreen Centre, the Town required that one lease holder remained responsible, under one umbrella lease agreement, for all area of food services, namely the restaurant operation, the golf course concession and on-course services, and general catering services throughout the entire facility. This approach has proven to be ineffective and inordinately limiting for many user groups.
As a result, the Town has decided instead to release this Expression of Interest in order to encourage interested proponents to consider other options, such as submitting proposals for any individual area of services, or for any combination of the various services.” – Town of Nipawin Web site
