Town of Nipawin to Purchase the NDCC office building

Town of Nipawin media release Nipawin, Saskatchewan – June 14, 2019

The Town of Nipawin, at a Special Council Meeting held on Friday, June 14th, is pleased to inform the community that following a brief period of amicable negotiations between the Nipawin & District Chamber of Commerce and the Town of Nipawin, an agreed upon purchase
price of $85,000 plus a $5,000 signing bonus has been reached.

Efforts are now underway to complete the sale and to determine the upcoming possession date.

The long-term plan for Town’s use of this facility will include the re-establishment of Visitor Information Service delivery from the site, as well as future uses to be determined.

Mayor Harper stated, “The Town Council appreciates the services that have been, and I know will continue to be provided by the Nipawin & District Chamber of Commerce. We support and look forward to the increased emphasis the Chamber intends to undertake toward advocacy of
business interests within Nipawin and throughout our geographic area. I look forward to our continued partnership and work together.
