Total Fire Ban Announced Due to Dry Conditions For Nipawin and Surrounding Communities

Due to extreme Fire Weather Index and extremely dry conditions, a total fire ban is now in effect for the following areas until further notice;

  • Town of Nipawin
  • Nipawin Regional Park
  • Reel’em Inn Cabins
  • RM of Torch River
  • Pruden’s Point Resort’
  • Carroll’s Cove
  • Vanity Ventures
  • Blue Winds Fish’N’Tours
  • Smits Beach
  • Wapiti Valley Resort
  • The Outerbanks
  • Resort Village of Tobin Lake
  • Hilltop Campground
  • Tobin Lake Leisure (Shipleys)
  • Gingara Subdivision
  • Village of Aylsham
  • Village of Codette
  • Village of Love
  • Village of Smeaton
  • Village of White Fox

For the duration of the ban, no open fires are permitted. Fireworks are also prohibited.

Self contained heating devices, pressurized stoves, gas barbecues, propane fire pits, or charcoal briquettes used in an approved firebox will only be permitted for cooking and heating purposes.
