I had the opportunity this past weekend to watch several Torch River farmers and their operators pouring on the coal to get their crops harvested before the forecasted rain hit or, heaven forbid, our first snowfall.
There have been some awfully long hours put in all over our region by our farmers, and I commend them for the sacrifices they make to bring food to our tables. There is a lot more left to be done, between crops that have yet been harvested, anhydrous applications and working fields so keep that in mind when you are traveling in the region.
