SK RCMP Asking Residents to Remain Vigilant and Report Suspicious Activities

(Last Updated On: October 2, 2017)

Saskatchewan RCMP Release; Monday, October 2nd, 2017  12:02 p.m.

As you know, on Saturday evening there were suspected terrorist attacks in Edmonton. Our sympathies go out to Edmonton Police Service and all those affected by this incident.

When serious incidents occur, it is concerning to everyone, including those in neighbouring provinces. We want to assure the people of Saskatchewan that members of our RCMP National Security Enforcement Section are constantly assessing any potential threats in our province and we continue to work closely with our provincial policing partners.

We are not aware of any specific threats locally to Saskatchewan and continue to exercise increased vigilance.

Anyone with information about possible criminal threats to national security is encouraged to immediately call the RCMP’s National Security Information Network at 1-800-420-5805.
