At 5:35 pm on Tuesday July 23rd, 2019, Saskatchewan RCMP issued a warning that Kam McLeod and Bryer Schmegelsky, who are wanted as suspects in the Dease Lake suspicious death investigation and the double homicide of Lucas Fowler and Chynna Deese, had been possibly sighted in Meadow Lake, SK driving a grey 2011 Toyota Rav 4, on Sunday, July 21st, 2019.
On Tuesday, July 23rd, Manitoba RCMP published a warning that the two men may have potentially been sighted near the town of Gillam, MB, though RCMP are warning residents in both provinces to remain cautious.
RCMP are asking the public that if you spot Kam Mclead or Bryer Schmegelsky to consider them as dangerous – take no actions – do not approach – and call 911 immediately.
McLeod and Schmegelsky, both residents of Port Alberni, BC, had initially been considered missing when their truck had been found burnt on a highway in Northern BC. Shortly after locating the truck, the body of a third, unidentified victim was found in a pull out a short distance away.
“Investigators have also been able to confirm that Kam McLeod and Bryer Schmegelsky have left British Columbia and have been spotted in northern Saskatchewan. We believe they are likely continuing to travel, though we don’t have a possible destination. They were seen driving a grey 2011 Toyota Rav 4. Given these latest developments, Kam and Bryer are no longer consider missing.
