Sometime after 3:00 am on Sunday, July 15th, a 2009 Tracker Targa 175 boat with a 115 Mercury Optimax motor was stolen from the front yard of a residence in Nipawin, SK.
A surveillance camera from the Par-A-Mart Esso gas station, on the corner of Highway 55 and 6th Street East in Nipawin, captured video that is believed to be the boat being towed by a light coloured SUV. The boat’s owner, Taso Gliatis, believes the vehicle in the video may be a late 90’s Toyota 4Runner, or a very similar SUV. Gliatis lives in the residential area just north of LP Miller Comprehensive School, on what he says is normally a quiet street.
Based on the surveillance video, the thief traveled north on 6th Street East and may have crossed over Hwy 55 and continued to travel north on 6th Street North, possibly to avoid passing the Nipawin RCMP detachment.
Anyone with information should contact the Nipawin RCMP at 306-862-6270 or call your local RCMP detachment.
