Kelsey Trail Health Region Release – Monday, October 16, 2017
Kelsey Trail Health Region is increasing the hours of operation of laboratory and diagnostic imaging services at Nipawin Hospital in response to demand.
Effective Monday, October 23rd, the public will have access to laboratory and diagnostic imaging services between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Previously, lab services were available between 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
“By tracking patient visits, we were able to determine that there was an increased demand for services earlier in the day as well as late in the afternoon in Nipawin,” explained Renee Simoneau, KTHR Director Diagnostic and Emergency Services. “The region has been able to expand hours with both lab and diagnostic imaging staff to address the increased demand.”
The expanded hours of operation of the lab and diagnostic imaging services at Nipawin Hospital will improve both public and health care provider access to these services.
