Nipawin Fire Department participates in Melfort’s “Wet it down and Push it In” Ceremony

September 1, 2018 – Nipawin Fire Department/FB- Members of Nipawin Fire were honoured to be in Melfort along with several area fire departments to participate in the “Wet it down and Push it in” ceremony for the commissioning of the new Melfort Fire & Rescue Fire Truck.

Tradition is that the area departments are the first to wash the new truck before the home department does. And then the home department pushes the new truck into the fire hall and it is declared officially in service.
