Congratulations to Nipawin Fire Department Captain Jim Senger who received a Saskatchewan Protective Services medal at a ceremony at the Saskatoon Police Service headquarters on September 19.
Captain Senger accepted his medal from Lieutenant Governor Vaughn Solomon Schofield (left) and Provincial Secretary Nadine Wilson (right), and was one of 72 individuals province-wide to be recognized for their contributions during the ceremony.
The Saskatchewan Protective Services Medal honours protective services providers with 25 plus years of exemplary service and focuses attention on the efforts and work of police, fire and emergency professionals, and others working in the field of safety and security. These individuals set high standards and strive for excellence in their duties so everyone in Saskatchewan can live safe and secure lives.
Captain Senger joined the Nipawin Fire Department in November 1990. He is a true leader and was promoted to Captain / Training Officer in June 2010. He has earned the respect of all the Nipawin firefighters as our Training Officer, spending several hours preparing for training sessions for our department.
