Nipawin, SK; Friday May 17th – Work on the Nipawin bridge on Highway 55 will be suspended for the May long weekend.
Crews are anticipating wrapping up work Friday, May 17th by about 3:30 pm and will not resume again until the morning of Tuesday, May 21st.
Bridge traffic will remain one lane alternating with the traffic lights controlling flow of traffic.
Motorists are reminded that, even though crews won’t be present, speed zones and traffic restrictions remain in place and any one of several provincial traffic enforcement units, including the RCMP, may be present at any given time. This includes photo radar units which do not necessarily result in you being pulled over, but rather you could receive a ticket in the mail a week or two down the road.
Drive safe!
