Nipawin Bridge Repairs Resume

(Last Updated On: April 4, 2019)

Repair work on the Nipawin Bridge on Highway 55 north of Nipawin has resumed and, as of April 3rd, 2019, single lane traffic and traffic lights are in effect. The bridge speed is now 30 km/h

Traffic will be single lane alternating with traffic lights allowing 3 minutes and 25 secs for each direction, 24 hours a day for an undetermined length of time.

Currently the bridge is restricted to a 3.5 meter width, however concrete barriers are not in place yet.

The construction area on the bridge is expected to be quite busy with a lot of workers and equipment. Drivers are ask to closely observe the 30 km/h posted speed limit on the bridge.

RCMP have been advised of the traffic flow changes and drivers can expect to see enforcement of the speed limits and red light observance.
