The Town of Nipawin’s call for nominations to fill one vacant council seat closed on Wednesday, March 21st, 2018. The seat had been vacant since January when Councillor Ray Serack had tendered his resignation from Council, citing personal reasons.
Nipawin’s CAO and Returning Officer issued a Notice of Abandonment of Poll today, along with notice that Sheldon Chornawka has been elected by acclamation to fill the vacant seat on council.
