Local Businesses Show Support for Jeff Haydukewich Recovery Fund

(Last Updated On: September 14, 2017)

In the months to follow his horrific encounter with a mother bear, Jeff Haydukewich and his family will be enduring extreme financial hardship. With Jeff in the hospital receiving treatment, his wife Marita is left to support their family and travel back and forth to Saskatoon, friends have rallied together to set up and donate through Go Fund Me, bringing in over $9,000 in just three days. While that may seem like a lot, anyone that has had an injured spouse can tell you that amount does not go very far.

Jeff and Marita’s friends took their efforts a step further and made arrangements so that people could also donate locally. Donations can now be made to Marita Doerksen at the following locations;

Collection boxes are also set up in Nipawin, White Fox, and Carrot River businesses.

Arrangements for more donation box locations are being made and we will update the list as new ones are confirmed

In addition to the businesses hosting the collection of funds, Spectrum Signs & Printing‘s Scott Seabrook printed posters designed by Janine Glasier, an AWESOME graphic designer, as Kate Martens fittingly puts it, for distribution around the area.
