On Friday, some local Lions played host to to show the sites of Nipawin to International Director Nicolin Carol Moore from Trinidad and Tobago. International Director Moore got a glimpse of our past at the Nipawin District Living Forestry Museum, then traveled over the iconic Nipawin Bridge, and braved the nippy cold weather at the Francois Finlay Hydroelectric Dam lookout point.

Saturday’s agenda included several interesting presentations, the Governor’s Gala and banquet, an induction of a new Nipawin Lions Member, and award presentations followed by a dance to the music of Constant Reminder. A Necrology Service, and additional presentations and speakers on Sunday morning rounded out the weekend.

The Nipawin Lions thank all Lions who attended; International Director Nicolin Carol Moore for her thought provoking address; all the presenters; the Nipawin Legion for the use of the Legion Hall, their services and their professionalism throughout the weekend; the Generations Event Center and Just for You Catering for the delicious meals they served; and the Nipawin Community Players and Constant Reminder for providing the excellent entertainment.
