By Order of the Minister of Government Relations, an interim council has been appointed:
- Lyle Black
- Brenda Hayduk
- Kevin Hess
A by-election will be held on June 27th to fill the vacancies. A call for nominations will go out on April 30th. Official notice for that will be provided and after that time, the Village of Codette will be accepting nominations for both Mayor and Council.
An information session is planned on May 10th at 6:00 p.m. specifically for anyone interested in being nominated for council. A brief explaination of the roles and expectations of a member of council will be provided along with answers to questions regarding nominations and council duties any potential nominee may have.
Nomination day will be on May 23rd.
The village administration will provide more information, following after the first meeting of the interim council.
