Hudson Bay CO’s Looking For Assistance – Elk Shot & Left To Waste

Hudson Bay Conservation Officers need your assistance. On Tuesday, December 19th, 2017, Hudson Bay Conservation Officers received a TIP call that an animal had been shot and left, approximately 11km west of Bertwell, SK, on the north side of Highway 23.

Officers attended the scene and located a bull elk, approximately 200 yards into an open field. The elk was wounded initially, a vehicle then drove up to the bull elk and it was shot again, then left to waste. Officers determined the elk was shot in the morning of December 19th, 2017. Some evidence was collected at the scene.
