House Fire in White Fox

Around 11:20 pm on Tuesday, August 8th, local residents were alerted to a fire at a home in the Village of White Fox, approx 11 km northwest of Nipawin.

Neighbours called 911 and White Fox volunteer firefighters arrived promptly, followed by the Nipawin Fire Department.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this time but appeared to have started on the top floor of the home.

According to local residents, fire personnel worked until after 2 am successfully extinguishing the fire and protecting nearby homes and outbuildings from damage.

Tuesday, August, 8 – 11:25 pm – White Fox Fire, Nipawin Fire Department, Nipawin RCMP, and North East EMS responded to a structure fire in the Village of White Fox. On arrival, crews found flames coming through the roof. Firefighters were able to confirm that the structure was unoccupied. North East EMS attended to a bystander. Cause of the fire is still under investigation.
