Greenwater SK B&E; Elderly Couple Robbed While Sleeping

On March 22, 2018, Greenwater RCMP responded to a Break, Enter and Theft at Marean Lake, Saskatchewan. Suspects entered the home where two elderly people were sleeping and proceeded to steal two pellet guns, a purse, and the keys to the couple’s vehicle. The suspects then fled the scene in the couple’s Buick Enclave and another stolen vehicle.

Greenwater RCMP quickly recovered the damaged vehicle and arrested 3 suspects. As a result, three youths from Yellow Quill First Nation, Saskatchewan, were charged with:

• Break, enter and theft to a residence;
• Theft of a motor vehicle and;
• Mischief under $5000.

An 11 year old youth was also identified as being involved but cannot be charged due to their age. No injuries occurred to the home owners during the incident.

All suspects appear in Rose Valley Provincial Court on May 16th, 2018.
