Numerous local residents observed the funnel cloud, which was visible from Highway 55 at Love, SK looking towards Garrick, SK on the north side of the highway, about 11:30 am Tuesday, Aug 8th, 2017.
The cloud appeared for a brief time but was very active, according to reports.
A funnel cloud is a funnel-shaped cloud of condensed water droplets, associated with a rotating column of wind and extending from the base of a cloud but not reaching the ground or a water surface. A funnel cloud has to extend from the cloud base to the ground before it is considered a tornado.
