Fatal ATV Accident in Porcupine Provincial Forest

Porcupine Plain RCMP Press Release – Monday, September 18th, 2017 1:17 p.m.

On September 17 at 7:30 p.m Porcupine Plain RCMP, Porcupine Plain EMS and the Office of the Chief Coroner were dispatched to a single ATV rollover in the Porcupine Provincial Forest approximately 25km south of Somme, Saskatchewan.

A 69-year-old male from Prince Albert was pronounced dead at the scene.

Initial investigation has determined that the deceased was the lone driver of an ATV that collided with a large dirt embankment. He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the collision. Porcupine Plain RCMP will not be releasing the name of the deceased.
