Longtime CEO John Shehner plans to retire at the end of June 2018.
Shehner spent 35 years working for the credit union, with the last 18 years being spent in Nipawin. Over the years Shehner has been a big supporter of the Nipawin community, including working with the Nipawin Hawks and is currently President of the Health Foundation.
Shehner says he doesn’t have many plans for after retirement. He maintains that there is a lot of work for him to do at Diamond North Credit Union before he leaves in June, including implementing a new Primed Up Term deposit. The Credit Union is currently in the process of finding a replacement for Shehner.
