Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation Unit, Nov 21, 2018 3:00 pm – The Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation Unit has charged a man from Cumberland House, Saskatchewan with six child pornography related offences.
On November 20, 2018 the Saskatchewan ICE unit executed a search warrant at a residence in Cumberland House in relation to an investigation into the distribution and possession of child pornography on social media applications spanning between February 2016 and November 2018.
Keayan Zachary MOORE, age 23, has been charged with the following;
4 counts of Possession of Child Pornography – Sec.163.1(4) CC
2 counts of distributing Child Pornography – Sec. 163.1 (3) CC
Keayan MOORE was arrested at the scene and appeared in Saskatchewan Provincial Court in Cumberland House on November 20. He was remanded to appear in Saskatchewan Provincial Court in La Ronge on Monday November 26, 2018.
The Saskatchewan ICE Unit is comprised of investigators from the RCMP, Regina Police Service, Saskatoon Police Service, and Prince Albert Police Service. Their mandate is to investigate crimes involving the abuse and/or exploitation of children on the Internet.

The Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation Unit (Sask ICE) is an Integrated Unit that falls under the Criminal Investigations Division of the Regina Police Service.
The Sask ICE Unit is comprised of members from the Regina Police Service, Saskatoon Police Service, Prince Albert Police Service and the RCMP.
Due to the increasing crimes of exploiting children through the use of the Internet, a proposal seeking an Integrated Unit to investigate these crimes, was brought forward to these respective Policing agents and the Provincial Government.The Sask ICE Unit became operational in the spring of 2009.
The Units mandate is to reduce Internet-facilitated child sexual exploitation by identifying victimized children and investigating and assisting in the prosecution of sexual offenders.
