Saskatchewan RCMP investigate shooting in Candle Lake

Saskatchewan RCMP Media Release – On Saturday, September 12, 2020, just before 10 p.m., Saskatchewan RCMP received a 911 report of a male who had been shot inside a residence located on Industrial Drive in Candle Lake, SK. Smeaton, Nipawin and Prince Albert RCMP Detachments along with EMS immediately responded to the scene.

US West Coast Wildfire Smoke to Reach NE SK on Monday

According to smoke forecasts provided by FireSmoke Canada, the Canadian portal for information and resources about smoke from wildland fires, smoke from the fires burning on the US West Coast are projected to reach the Northeast region in Saskatchewan early in the morning of Monday, September 14th, 2020.

Key Wildlife Management Zones Targeted For CWD Testing

Saskatchewan Ministry of Environment Released on September 9, 2020

The Ministry of Environment is once again encouraging hunters to submit the heads of deer, moose and elk harvested this hunting season for chronic wasting disease (CWD) testing.  CWD is a fatal, infectious central nervous system disease in cervids that has no known cure.

Armed Robberies: Wanted Pair Known to Frequent Yorkton, Prince Albert, Nipawin

Yorkton RCMP are seeking the public’s assistance locating two individuals wanted in connection to recent armed robberies in Theodore and Saltcoats, SK.

UPDATE: Aug 19, 2020 4:30 p.m – 34-year-old Garrett Hansen has been arrested. The Yorkton RCMP is requesting the public’s assistance in locating 28-year-old Kelsey Bloomfield (pictured below). She is known to frequent the Yorkton, Prince Albert, and Nipawin areas. Do not approach and please contact police if you see her or know her whereabouts.
