The meeting was opened by acting President Laurie Unger who in her brief remarks thanked all former Presidents of the Branch for their service as she has found out just how different it is sitting in the President’s chair than being on the other side of the table! A busy weekend at the Legion coming up as we welcome the Lions Club who will be hosting a convention from Friday to Sunday in our hall. Therefore there will be no Saturday supper this week. Also Saturday supper will move to 5 pm on Dec. 2 and for the next few weeks to accommodate Christmas parties in the lounge and because it’s nice to get home earlier on cold nights.
