We have spent the past 18 months doing major renovations to our building, and have transformed the former glass/auto-body shop, into a Gallery & Arts retail space, a classroom for art instruction and an office for graphic design services.

It all started with a book that I bought on a whim called “Useful Wild Plants of Saskatchewan” by Kahlee Keane. I took it to our cabin and left it there for another year. One day it asked me to pick it up and look inside. That little book changed my life’s path.

CRTC’s promise of high speed, unlimited internet for rural Canadians falls short

Since December 2016, the CRTC has been sitting on a $750 million commitment to invest in actual physical infrastructure which is suppose to provide more “rural” Canadians (meaning small communities, sorry farmers) with super high speed internet, speeds up to 50 mbps upload and 10 mbps download (compare to most of us who are lucky to get 5-10 mbps upload)?

Petition launched on Canadian Parliament website in favour of federal standards for truck drivers

An E-petition has been launched on the Government of Canada web site petitions.ourcommons.ca, calling for the federal government to make changes that will standardize Class 1 drivers skills, training and licensing requirements across Canada, as opposed to the current province by province system.
