By Sherry Richards, Herbalist, Big River, SK – Plants are food, and plants are medicine. Wild plants have been my biggest passion for 25 years. It all started with a book that I bought on a whim called “Useful Wild Plants of Saskatchewan” by Kahlee Keane. I took it to our cabin and left it there for another year. One day it asked me to pick it up and look inside. That little book changed my life’s path.

EBS Mental Health Initiative Empowering Youth in Nipawin

Submitted by Josie FitzPatrick – In the fall of 2015 we held a fundraiser in memory of our good friend Dwayne Eberle, who lost his battle with mental health in May of that year. With the support of his family and many friends, the fundraiser was able to raise close to $25,000.

Solid Waste Management Study – RM of Torch River #488

RM of Torch River #488 – The current cell at Garrick Landfill is quickly reaching capacity. Clifton Associates LTD was retained by the RM of Torch River to conduct sold waste management feasibility study to address the RM’s future waste management plans and infrastructure.
