Special Weather Statement Issued; Winter is Not Done Yet - Notice Has Ended

(Last Updated On: April 20, 2018)

A slow moving low pressure trough will spread showers into western Saskatchewan this evening which will turn to snow overnight as it moves east towards highway 2. A risk of freezing rain is also possible during the transition to snow.

On Tuesday, most of the precipitation will take the form of snow, with 5 to 10 cm forecast over much of central and south-central Saskatchewan. There may be locally heavier snow bands that develop giving more than 10 cm in some areas. The situation will be monitored closely, and warnings will be issued if necessary.
