RCMP Pelican Narrows – On November 23, 2018, members of the Pelican Narrows Detachment were conducting a check stop at the Opawikoscikcan Narrows along highway 135.
Members had received information that bootleggers were transporting alcohol into the dry community of Pelican Narrows.
As a result of the check stop a vehicle was stopped and a large quantity of Beverage alcohol was seized and an adult female was charged.
