Snow, wind for Nipawin, freezing rain for the south

A disturbance forecast to track across southern Saskatchewan
will bring a wintery mix of weather to the region. Precipitation
associated with this system is currently developing over the province and will gradually intensify as it tracks into the northern grainbelt and eastern portions of Saskatchewan tonight and Wednesday.

Recent Snowfall Increases Spring Runoff Outlook

Today, the Water Security Agency (WSA) released the April spring runoff forecast. Snowfall across most of Saskatchewan was well above normal in March, increasing the runoff potential across the province with northern and southern Saskatchewan showing two different outlooks. Nipawin Area May See Above Normal Run-Off But Flood Levels Not Anticipated

On March 13th, 2018, the Water Security Agency (WSA) released an updated spring runoff outlook for 2018, confirming that the early March snowfall across much of southern Saskatchewan has raised projections for a near normal to above normal snowmelt runoff across most of the province, except some drier pockets in southwest and south central Saskatchewan.
