Traffic Stop in Nipawin Leads to Drug Trafficking Charges

RCMP Nipawin – CDSA Trafficking -Media Release May 24th, 2019 – On May 20th at 10:40pm, Nipawin and Smeaton RCMP members conducted a traffic stop with a vehicle within the Town of Nipawin. As a result of this stop, a search of the vehicle was conducted where 63 grams of methamphetamine, 23 pills of hydromorphone and 68 pills of buprenorphine were located and seized. Also located during the search was a can of bear spray, drug paraphernalia and other items consistent with drug trafficking.

Melfort RCMP Release May 13th 2019 3:30 p.m.- Melfort RCMP are requesting public’s assistance in locating a missing 63-year-old male from Naicam, SK. Charles Butler-Grace left from his residence in Naicam the morning of Friday, May 10, and was believed to be hitch-hiking towards Saskatoon.

China unwilling to purchase all Canadian canola; immediate resolution unlikely

March 21, 2019 – The Canola Council of Canada (CCC) – While there was some initial optimism that Chinese concerns with canola trade could be resolved quickly, technical discussions to date have not indicated an immediate resolution is possible. Canola seed exporters report that Chinese importers are unwilling to purchase Canadian canola seed at this time.
