China unwilling to purchase all Canadian canola; immediate resolution unlikely

March 21, 2019 – The Canola Council of Canada (CCC) – While there was some initial optimism that Chinese concerns with canola trade could be resolved quickly, technical discussions to date have not indicated an immediate resolution is possible. Canola seed exporters report that Chinese importers are unwilling to purchase Canadian canola seed at this time.

Nipawin, SK February 28, 2019 – The call for nominations for the by-election to fill one seat on the town of Nipawin council closed at 4:00 pm on Wednesday, February 27th, 2019. Three potential candidates had submitted nomination papers, however one was withdrawn by the nominee shortly before the close of nominations.
