Legion Lines – by Shauna Grassing March 14th, 2018
It seems that many congratulations are in order. Our Club 100 Lottery is up and running again for the next year. Draws are made each Tuesday during our weekly bingo. Proceeds from this fundraising effort go towards building renovations and repairs. Doreen Bleich was the lucky winner of the first draw of $200.00. Rosanne Robin was the winner of our beautiful Valentine’s basket. Watch for our next basket raffle. Members of the youth dart league are heading to Quebec in May to represent Saskatchewan at nationals. Joshua Adrian, Dillon Dumont and Veronika Duchscherer all qualified at the Saskatchewan Darts Association youth dart provincial championships in Rosetown. Congratulations to Darlene Pickering, who won the Chase the Ace jackpot. It has been a pleasure to assist with this fundraising project and we congratulate the committee on a job very well done.
Adult dart players from the Nipawin branch travelled to Moosomin to participate in Legion Provincial Darts. They finished fourth in doubles and Grassing finished fourth in singles. The players extend many compliments to the host branch.
